The first wave of The Artifex Project will launch on Thursday evening, May 20th, 2021 at 7:00pm EST featuring NFTs by Billelis and toomuchlag.

Each artist has created a metaphorical self-portrait: a humanoid, animal, or object representation of self. It answers the question: how do you see yourself in a piece of art? This original artwork will be auctioned as a 1/1 NFT.

The Artifex is a 3D sculpture of each artist’s work, created by art director DurkAtWork. The character steps out of the original artwork into 3D virtual immortality. The sculpture is timeless and has a roadmap for metaverse-compatibility, AR filters, and more. Each is a /100 NFT, 67 of which are available as limited editions. The first edition will be auctioned.

Each Artifex collector receives a custom gallery room via project partner RareRooms. These spaces are designed specifically to showcase five artwork NFTs and five 3D NFTs. These virtual gallery spaces can showcase not only Artifex NFTs but any NFTs with a simple interface. The Artifex Project represents the next evolution for NFT artists and collectors.
